The excitement is palpable as the National Lottery gears up for its much-anticipated launch, bringing with it a promise of transformative opportunities for Tanzanians.

In a recent interview on Clouds FM’s Jahazi program, Kelvin Koka, the Director of ITHUBA Tanzania, shared insights into how this initiative will impact the lives of citizens across the nation.

With a commitment to enhance community development, particularly in the sports sector, the National Lottery will not only feature grand prizes but is also set to create over 2,000 jobs. The initiative aims to engage the community and contribute significantly to various development projects, underscoring the importance of public participation in shaping the future of Tanzania.

“We are happy to get the official approval of the National Lottery from Hon. Hamad H. Chande, Deputy Minister of Finance. The National Lottery is going to open a new chapter in the gaming industry, we hope to bring entertainment to our games as well as contribute to the development of the Nation,” Koka stated.

The guest of honour, Hon. Hamad Hassan Chande, Deputy Minister of Finance, emphasized the significance of the National Lottery during a recent press briefing, stating, “This marks a new era of growth and prosperity for Tanzania’s development journey.

“The National Lottery of Tanzania, under the strong leadership of ITHUBA, which has invested more than 20 million dollars, is expected to be launched very soon. This project represents a strategic commitment to having a National Lottery of our own that will not only provide opportunities for participants but also generate significant revenue to support the economic and social development of our nation.”

Also speaking at the press briefing, Ms. Michelle Van Trotsenburg, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs from ITHUBA emphasized this arrival which will bring exciting games that are tailored to resonate with the Tanzanian market.

She added, the National Lottery will provide public education initiatives to ensure every Tanzanian understands how to participate and adhere to the rules and regulations of lottery games to encourage responsible gaming for all.
