Red Panda Tails of Wealth features compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation, a high-contrast colour palette, and an accessible heads-up display — elements OLG plans to integrate into future releases.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has unveiled an online slot game designed with accessibility at its core, aiming to better serve players with disabilities.
Red Panda Tails of Wealth features compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation, a high-contrast colour palette, and an accessible heads-up display — elements OLG plans to integrate into future releases.
For the development of the game, OLG partnered with Pixiu Gaming and Light & Wonder’s Spark iGaming programme. To ensure the slot’s accessibility features met high standards, OLG collaborated with Toronto-based digital accessibility company Fable, allowing individuals with disabilities to test the game ahead of its official launch.
“The game is a proof of concept that shows how removing barriers to play can move us towards a more inclusive future in the gaming industry,” said Dave Pridmore, OLG’s Chief Gaming Officer.
