The proposed fine will be reviewed and voted on by the Nevada Gaming Commission at its meeting next Wednesday.

Wynn Resorts has agreed to pay £4.4m (US$5.5m) to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to settle charges related to unregistered international money transfers.

The proposed fine will be reviewed and voted on by the Nevada Gaming Commission at its meeting next Wednesday.

This follows a significantly larger settlement of £102.5m (US$130.13m) paid by Wynn to the US Department of Justice last year in relation to the same allegations.

The NGCB stated:

“Upon resolution of the federal case, NGCB enforcement agents completed a separate regulatory investigation and received full cooperation from Wynn LV throughout the investigation.”

Wynn Resorts now becomes the third operator on the Las Vegas Strip—alongside Resorts World Las Vegas and MGM Resorts—to reach a multi-million pound settlement for money-laundering violations in the past two months.
