Wynn Resorts has finalised its acquisition of Wynn Mayfair, a private members’ gaming club located in London’s West End, following approval from the UK Gambling Commission.

Situated at 27–28 Curzon Street in Mayfair, the exclusive venue was formerly operated by Crown Resorts and now becomes part of Wynn’s expanding international casino portfolio.

The property comprises two adjoining Georgian townhouses and features 20 gaming tables set across multiple floors, including a rooftop terrace and several salons privé. The Bar and The Dining Room on the entrance level are open to both members and the public, offering an elevated hospitality experience.

Originally opened as the White Elephant Club in the 1960s, the site was later transformed into a casino by John Aspinall and has long been known for attracting notable figures from British and international high society.

The venue boasts a carefully curated collection of classical and contemporary artwork, antiques, and furnishings, while the rooftop area combines gaming, dining, and smoking amenities in a refined setting.

The acquisition follows Wynn’s decision in May to withdraw from the New York casino licensing process. At the time, the company stated:

“There are uses for our capital more accretive to our shareholders, such as investment in our existing and upcoming developments.”

One such development is Wynn Al Marjan Island, a landmark integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates, slated to open in early 2027. Wynn described the Mayfair acquisition as a strategic move aligned with its broader growth ambitions across Europe and the Middle East.
