Virginia’s total adjusted gross gaming revenue (AGR) from casinos and sports betting rose by 6.2% year-on-year in March, reaching $45.1 million, according to figures released by the Virginia Lottery. This marks an increase from $42.4 million reported in March 2024.

However, compared to February’s $61.9 million, March saw a 27.2% month-on-month decline in total AGR.
Wagering activity was up overall, with total bets placed in March amounting to $689.7 million—an 8.5% rise from $635.6 million in March the previous year.
The state generated $6.8 million in gaming-related tax revenue in March, reflecting an 8.1% increase year-on-year from $6.3 million, though this figure was down 27.3% from the $9.3 million collected in February.
