The approval enables Scientific Games to deliver its lottery solutions within the UAE, a market currently served by a single licensed operator—The Game LLC, which launched The UAE Lottery in November 2024.
Scientific Games has been granted a gaming-related vendor supplier licence in the United Arab Emirates, marking its official entry into one of the Middle East’s newest regulated gaming markets. The licence, issued by the local regulator, positions the company alongside fellow global suppliers such as Aristocrat, IGT and Novomatic in an increasingly competitive region.
The approval enables Scientific Games to deliver its lottery solutions within the UAE, a market currently served by a single licensed operator—The Game LLC, which launched The UAE Lottery in November 2024. In recent months, the operator has broadened its offering, unveiling four new scratch card products in March with top prizes of up to AED 1 million (approximately £210,000).
Commenting on the development, Michael Conforti, President of International Business at Scientific Games, said:
“We are extremely pleased that Scientific Games has been authorised as a lottery supplier in the UAE with this licence. We look forward to putting our more than 50 years of expertise to work in the UAE to offer high-performing products that will responsibly help drive revenue for lottery programmes supporting local communities and projects of national importance.”
The licence cements Scientific Games’ footprint across 50 countries on five continents, where it currently serves 150 lotteries worldwide. While its initial activity in the UAE centres on lottery products, the company’s broader portfolio and operational scale signal potential for future expansion.
Also entering the UAE market are IGT and Aristocrat, both of which have received supplier approval, while Novomatic has been granted a gaming vendor licence allowing it to distribute land-based gaming equipment.
As regulatory frameworks take shape, the UAE is quickly establishing itself as a strategic focus for major international gaming firms seeking growth in untapped regions.
