Retail slots was the leader in game type revenue, generating nearly $201m throughout the month.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the total revenue generated from all forms of gaming in the state for the month of June. Throughout June 2024, the state generated a gaming revenue of $471.98m, an increase of 7.2% when compared year-over-year. 

Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). 

Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $198m during June 2024.

Retail slot machines generated the most gaming revenue of any game type in the state, but decreased 0.3% year-over-year for a total of just under $201m. iGaming slot revenue came behind its in-person counterpart, increasing 21.6% in revenue year-over-year to $119.4m. 

Retail table game revenue was $76.1m, a slight decrease of 0.2% from its total for June 2023. Online table game revenue increased 12% year-over-year for a revenue of $39m for June 2024. 

Sports wagering also generated $29.9m in revenue for June 2024, an increase of 29.6% year-over-year. 

Pennsylvania is currently home to 19 properties the PGCB regulates and reports revenue for. Hollywood Casino at the Pennsylvania National Race Course generated the most revenue for June 2024, up 2.2% year-over-year for a total of $74.1m. 

Valley Forge Casino and Resort and Parx Shippensburg reported the highest increases in revenue from June 2023, with Valley Forge increasing 24.8% to $63.9m and Parx Shippensburg increasing by 22.4% for a revenue of just under $3m. 

Bally’s Pennsylvania increased 678% year-over-year in revenue to $3.5m for June 2024, but is a “mini-casino” built in 2022. 

Mohegan Pennsylvania saw the biggest decrease in revenue from June 2023, reporting $17.3m and decreasing 12.5%. Presque Isle Downs and Casino ($8.7m), Live! Casino Pittsburgh ($9.8m), Mount Airy Casino and Resort ($19.7m), Rivers Casino Pittsburgh ($27.7m) and Parx Casino ($50.3m) all saw decreases year-over-year in revenue as well, but each saw losses of 4% or less.
