Lagos, 24th February 2025… – The pawaTech Group received significant recognition during the Africa Gaming Expo, held from February 24th to 27th at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre.
The event brought together industry leaders to share insights, strategies, and forecasts in gaming, fintech and banking, while showcasing the latest technological advancements shaping the future of these sectors. pawaTech manages Africa’s largest betting brand, betPawa.
Olabimpe Akingba, the Regional Manager for Business Development, was awarded the Women in Gaming Level Up Award for her outstanding contributions to the industry. Additionally, pawaTech was recognised as an Anchor Partner of the event, with the award presented to the group’s Chief Operating Officer, Dan Thomson.
pawaTech’s team members actively participated in some panels on the second day of the expo. Nii Armah Ashong-Katai, the Regional Manager for Partnerships, contributed to a discussion titled “Sports Betting and Local Leagues: Balancing Integrity and Revenue Generation.” This session explored the challenges and opportunities in the sports betting sector, particularly regarding maintaining integrity while driving revenue growth.
