The Macau Federation of Trade Unions has renewed its partnership with MGM to launch the 2025 edition of its flagship responsible gambling campaign, “Crafting Kindness: RG Macau Express.” This year’s initiative will place a greater focus on engaging younger generations and families, building on the success of previous editions.
Speaking at the launch event, held at the Federation’s headquarters, Vice-Chairman Leong Sun Iok reaffirmed the organisation’s dedication to responsible gambling outreach, calling it a key pillar of the Federation’s broader social mission.
“Since 2007, we’ve maintained responsible gaming information points across our service units and cultivated a network of Responsible Gaming Ambassadors,” he noted, highlighting the initiative’s long-standing efforts and official recognition for meeting industry standards.
The 2025 campaign will introduce a diverse range of activities aimed at working youth, parents, residents, and tourists. These include training workshops, financial literacy competitions, community fairs, and promotional stands throughout Macau’s districts. The campaign seeks to raise public awareness about responsible gambling, promote balanced leisure habits, and offer support resources for those in need.
Representing MGM, Tian Han reiterated the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, stating:
“This programme reflects the policy direction of both the central and Macau governments. Our focus is on guiding young people and families toward positive values and healthier behaviour.”
To maximise its impact, the campaign will host eight major events across Macau’s most popular tourism hubs. Last year’s edition attracted over 10,000 participants, and with its broadened scope, this year’s programme aims to reach even more people and make responsible gambling education more accessible across a wider audience.
