Gaborone, Botswana – 15/01/2025 – The Gambling Authority of Botswana announces the launch of a comprehensive research initiative aimed at establishing the prevalence of excessive and problem gambling within the nation.
This research is critical in assessing the current landscape of gambling behaviors in Botswana and forming strategies for responsible gambling.
The authority has engaged Integrated Research Hub (Pty) Ltd., a reputable local consultancy firm, to conduct this vital study. Trained interviewers from Integrated Research Hub will conduct face-to-face interviews at selected homesteads across various communities. These sessions aim to gather honest and insightful data on gambling habits among Botswana residents.
Residents can recognize our interview teams by their official Gambling Authority branded attire, which includes t-shirts and caps/hats, as well as visible national and work identification cards.
