Yahaya Maikori is a seasoned solicitor and a key figure in Africa’s gaming, tech, and entertainment industries. As the Principal Partner of Law Allianz, a firm he founded in 2008, Yahaya provides expert legal services in transactions, licensing, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
With a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and membership in the Nigerian Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales, he brings over two decades of expertise.
Yahaya’s career began with roles at Aso Savings & Loans and First Alliance Pension, and he quickly emerged as a leading legal advisor in the gaming sector, advising government institutions on licensing and compliance issues.
Recognised as “Entertainment Lawyer of the Year – Nigeria” by Legal Monthly in 2013, he is also a member of the prestigious International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL).
In addition to his legal work, Yahaya Maikori is actively involved in industry leadership as the President of the Nigeria Gaming Association and a member of the WRB/ICE Advisory Board for Africa. His influence and insights continue to shape the regulatory landscape of gaming and entertainment across the continent.
